The Global Technology Distribution Council is a worldwide industry trade association of distributors dedicated to defining and promoting the role of wholesale distribution via a successful and healthy information technology channel.
The 13 individual companies serving on the GTDC have come together to represent and safeguard the interests of the IT distribution industry as a whole. Each of the Council's member companies is an established IT distribution leader on the worldwide stage. See Members 
Given its composition, the GTDC assumes a leadership role in confronting issues and seeking effective measures to address the concerns of distributors, manufacturers and consumers and as they relate to technology and its impact on the world. See Initiatives By keeping a finger on the pulse of the IT industry, the GDTC is uniquely able to provide information and commentary on the state of the IT market as a whole. Member companies, as well as non-GTDC supply chain participants, use this information to improve sales and operational efficiencies. See Research Additionally, the GTDC hosts two significant industry events annually: the Global Technology Distribution Summit and an Investor Relations Conference. Both events help the GTDC and its members hold open discussions with strategic representatives of the vendor and analyst communities - bolstering their understanding of the vital role distributors play in the delivery of information technology products.
