Initiatives undertaken by the Global Technology Distribution council are central to fulfilling its goal of defining and promoting distribution through the IT channel.
Committees
The GTDC serves as a non competitive forum for the world’s leading distributors to address issues that affect the efficient operation of distribution businesses, as well as the supply chain in general. The GTDC currently has three internal committees comprised of senior-level executives from member companies: the Communications, IT Security, and Compliance committees.
- The Communications Committee is dedicated to promoting the value of distribution to the trade and business media and the analyst community.
- The IT Security Committee identifies potentially costly security breaches common among all distributors in the IT supply chain and establishes a method for communicating, thwarting and preventing such loss of security.
- The Compliance Committee focuses its attention on matters of policy and legality common among our distribution members - setting industry precedents for handling relevant concerns as they arise.
