GTDC 2007 SUMMIT FOLLOW UP REPORT |

The sixth annual Global Technology Distribution Summit was held September 25-26, at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach. The Summit is an invitation-only event, designed to be an intimate, yet powerful gathering of the best minds in the IT channel. The 2007event brought together 142 of the highest-level vendor and distribution executives in the industry in what is fast becoming one of the premier networking and collaboration events in the industry.
In all, 50 of the industry's leading vendors were represented by their highest-level channel executives at the 2007 GTDC Summit.
Keynote speakers at this year's Summit included Dan Warmenhoven, CEO of NetApp and Hector Ruiz, Chairman & CEO of AMD.
One of the highlights of the event was the Rising Star Awards ceremony. During the ceremony awards were given out to the fastest growing vendors on their sales through distribution. The winners were:

An interactive audience survey was conducted during the event. During this session, audience members were asked to key in answers on topics such as marketing, profitability and vendor-distributor relationships. The responses were analyzed and discussed during breakout sessions.
